These waffle are absolutely heavenly. This recipe has been in my family for a long, long time, and you are very lucky I am sharing this {wink}. I use a Belgian Waffle Iron for the best results, and I top with melted butter and syrup, or even whipped cream and strawberries! The picture below (in recipe card) shows my daughters favorite toppings – peanut butter and syrup.

NOTE: MAKE SURE WAFFLE IRON IS VERY HOT!! I asked my daughter to plug in our waffle iron to get it warmed up, and she plugged it in and immediately put batter in it before it was thoroughly heated – here were the results:

Note: She was TRYING to do the right thing!

LOL oops! She tried 🙂 I love waffles — I'll put a request in with the mister to make this one. He is the king of few things kitchen related: waffles/pancakes, the wok, and the grill. Everything else is for me to play with 😉

  2. I heart waffles!

  3. That looks so good! I wish I had a Belgian Waffle Iron!

  4. Homemade waffles are so delicious! Your daughter tried helping out and that's what counts. Thanks!:)
